Catalogue design and art direction.
During the course of 400 years the National Archives has preserved and collected diverse societal information including everything from medieval letters to current digital data. In the archives you find countless stories from individual destinies to significant societal changes.
In the exhibition UNBOXING ARKIVET some of these stories were highlighted and interpreted by second year design students from HDK. Each student selected an object from their surroundings which then was matched with relatable archive material. Out of these two components, the object and the archive material, the students further developed the narratives into a new piece.
